.41RF Remington Derringer Type 3 - no.4
A very interesting Type 3 number 4 Remington Derringer, chanbered in .41 rimfire.
The pistol is mechanically very good, with a tightly locking action, and excellent half/full cock. The barrels have some pitting, with visible rifling. The top rib is marked (REMINGTON ARMS -- U.M.C.CO.ILIONNY" Serial number: 3563
Grips are in a good undamaged condition. Loss of original finish to the metalwork, which remains smooth and free from corrosion.
An excellent historical piece to suit old west collectors.
