.65 Light Dragoon Flitlock Pistol
A very nice .650 light dragoon pistol, dating to circa 1800. The lock bears the ‘GR’ mark and cypher, along with tower of London proof, and has excellently strong springs, and a crisp half/full cock. The walnut stock has one small arsenal repair around one of the barrel pins, and is stamped with ‘GR’ under crown, along with the letters ‘TW’. The 9” barrel has good wall thickness, and 2 x proof stamps to the left-hand rear. An overall very neat piece, which likely saw use during the Napoleonic wars.
