.704 Two Groove Brunswick Rifle
A lovely .704 Nepalese Brunswick rifle, made for the British army and Indian rifle regiments.
As a percussion replacement for the infamous 'Baker' rifle, this model features a 30" two groove barrel, and early back action type lock.
The barrel is quickly removed from the wood, owing to it's elaborate captive securing wedges, and retains the iconic Baker style brass patch box in the rear stock.
The rifle is in good condition, with some minor dents to the wood, and no visible splits. The brass furniturenis present and correct, with the lock holding full and half as desired. The percussion nipple is in good condition, and clear. The rifle retains its original leaf sight and bayonet bar.
An overall very neat example, ideal to fill gaps in a collection.
