Belgian 8 bore S x S Shotgun
A very large and impressive Belgian made 8 bore double shotgun, with a Lefaucheux type action. Made in circa 1870, this piece uses 31 ¾ inch ‘twist’ barrels, with a semi-pistol grip stock, and rebounding locks. Total length is a whopping 122cm.
The shotgun shows some surface wear, with the engraving to the locks and action still mostly visible. The locks hold half and full without problems, and the action locks up very firmly – with some pitting to the bores.
