Naval Swivel Gunnade

A very impressive 1lb 'Gunnade' type barrel, mounted on a swivelling yoke, with a hand forged tiller arm.
The barrel has replacement trunnions welded on, as the originals were often removed to render the gun unmountable when they left military service. The touch hole is clear, and the bore free from obstructions all the way to the breech.
The barrel has a crown cast into it's top, and sports the usual Bromfield type cascabel loop, and raised vent block. The barrel is 73cm long, and 107cm total length with the tiller. The bore measures  1 3/4 inches. 
The yoke is solidly made, which splits into 2 x equal parts, held together by a tight fitting collar. The stem at the base of the yoke makes it possible to mount this barrel into any surface with a 38mm hole bored. 
An impressive and rare piece, which would suit any keen naval collector.
